Job Title: Interstate Dispatch/Planner
Overview: Seeking a knowledgeable Interstate Dispatch/Planner to manage the transportation of specialized industrial equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction, company goals, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate fleet allocation to meet customer demand and company standards.
- Monitor local, interstate, and intrastate orders.
- Determine customer needs and assign drivers.
- Maintain profitability standards for owner-operators.
- Assist Safety Department with compliance to safety regulations.
- Monitor Van Operators for upcoming assignments.
- Analyze load viability based on dates, line haul, and revenue per mile.
- Investigate and report equipment failure-related delays.
- Establish efficient delivery routes.
- Develop and execute plans to meet productivity and service requirements.
- Identify and resolve service failures, implementing corrective actions.
- Match area capacity with customer freight to maximize equipment utilization and reduce empty miles.
- Temporarily fill voids within the Operations Department as needed.
