Job Description

Agora Talent is partnering with a healthy fast-food and wholesale brand in London on a search for a Transactional Finance Manager.

This innovative food brand has seen impressive UK growth and is driven by continuing new product development and pushing into new international markets. They are excited to kick off 2022 with an ambitious strategy to open hundreds of stores and franchises across Europe.

But first, they must hire a Transactional Finance Manager to play a crucial role in developing the transactional finance team. Leading a team of three, this role will be responsible for leading AP and AR functions whilst supporting the Financial Controller in ensuring the accuracy of the accounts and improving processes to facilitate the brand's growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing, developing, and mentoring the transaction finance team (three reports across AP and AR).
  • Developing the function by designing and continuously improving AP and AR processes to facilitate the growth of the business.
  • Ensuring accuracy of monthly and yearly accounts for the year-end audit by keeping accurate records, control reports, and clean audit trails.
  • Processing and overseeing all purchase and overheads invoices and expenses posting.
  • Liaising closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve transactional queries.
  • Handling Landlord invoices allocation, payment, and reconciliation queries.
  • Developing and delivering monthly reporting on expense management, aged receivables, and overdue payables.
  • Finalising AP & AR general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supervising month-end supplier statements, account customers, and bank reconciliations.
  • Supporting monthly cash flow forecasting.
  • Assisting the Financial Controller in continuously improving internal controls whilst creating and maintaining manuals for finance procedures.
  • Supporting in the delivery of ad hoc projects, such as the purchase order and the expense management systems implementation.

About you:

  • Accounts Payable experience within a multi-site Retail, Consumer, or Hospitality brand (Accounts Receivable experience desirable but not essential).
  • Line management experience and ability to lead a team of three.
  • Confident in dealing with large datasets and multiple cost centres.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Able to create and follow set processes
  • Attention to detail with excellent time management skills and a proactive approach
