Summary

The Worthington Industries Rotation Experience & Development (WIRED) Program candidate will participate in a 12-18 month rotational program in which they will be responsible for developing knowledge and business skills in the manufacturing industry, while building strong relationships during each rotational assessment. The WIRED program is to provide the knowledge and resources to accelerate the learning curve at Worthington Industries. The Business Analyst works closely with several individuals at each rotation to ensure development goals are met. Strong emphasis will be placed on the ability to grow deep knowledge of the functional area. The analyst will be exposed to many facets of the business including on-site work in specified rotations. The career path will vary widely depending on interest, career alignment, and overall business need.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

In this role, you will be immersed into the everyday supply chain activities within the Worthington Cylinders division as well as the overall strategy and go forward project planning and execution. Our execution plan will enhance our supply chain systems, planning, and network optimization. Key responsibilities will be:

  • Inventory modeling to include inventory optimization execution
  • S&OP standardization and automation
  • Network analysis and transportation/distribution initiatives
  • Optimization of our supply chain system
  • Production scheduling and raw material procurement
  • Analyzation of production reports and escalation of material shortages
  • Long-term capacity planning and mitigation of risks
  • Participation in VSAs and transformation projects to improve the overall supply chain

Education/Travel Required

  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent work experience in the area of Supply Chain Management
  • 3.0 GPA or above preferred
  • Community and/or collegiate involvement
  • 6-month rotation in RI will be required
  • Additional travel as needed (approx. 25%)
