SOUS CHEF

Job Description

You may be either an experienced Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef looking for your next step up, or a Sous Chef who is looking to fine tune their skills and to take on a new and exciting role.

You will have a genuine passion for food and our industry, with a desire to uphold the sustainable and ethical approach of the business.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will be involved in the development of the menu and capable of running the kitchen in his absence. You will be a team player and have great communication skills. You will also require a good understanding of Health and Safety.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Strong verbal communication skills

Experience in a similar position is beneficial but not essential

Level-headed, stay calm and focused on a busy work environment

Full understanding of stock control, ordering and minimising waste

Work effectively as a team player to lead and help our teams grow – share your knowledge and passion

Take commercial responsibility for the food, generating gross profit on all dishes
