Senior SQL Developer

London (remote or hybrid working)

Up to £75,000 per annum + Bonus & Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a small but established and highly innovative consultancy famed for it's entrepreneurial and supportive working culture.
They are looking for a skilled SQL developer with a solid understanding of Azure and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders. The company can offer plenty of progression and upskilling opportunities alongside a generous benefits package.

Key duties will include:

  • Design, development, and implementation of modern, high-quality Business Intelligence and DWH solutions, including the flow of data through ETL technologies
  • Review and interpret ongoing business requirements
  • Contribute to data efficiency and quality by improving ETL processes, reporting solutions and other continuous improvement activities
  • Always thinking strategically and analytically with our clients and how the solution fits into their wider strategy including contributing to defining and maintaining their BI roadmap and strategy
  • Creation and maintenance of technical design documentation
  • Performing ad-hoc support for our clients as required
  • Assisting with the Testing cycle
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of company tools, methods, thought leadership and innovations

Skills required:

  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server with at least 3 years' experience of working in Business Intelligence or Data warehousing roles
  • Solid experience with cloud technologies (preferably Azure)
  • Ability to build pipelines using SSIS and/or ADF
  • Experience in solution design, analysis, development and testing with good knowledge of database techniques
  • Comfortable working with large and complex data sets
  • Solid experience in dimensional modelling
  • Demonstrable experience of developing DWH solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and logical process thinking
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
  • The ability to engage with client technical stakeholders
