As a team, our goal is to build a modern multi-region platform leveraging containers/Kubernetes driving innovation in the healthcare space. In this role, you will help drive/implement various technologies, make key decisions in future state, and help grow the team's skillset in these key areas. We expect you to be aware of best practices/tooling to enable the development of a "paved road" for our engineering teams to deploy their software. We aim to empower our engineers to build, own, and safely deploy their own software using our evolving internal development platform/standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with key talent to plan and define technical direction/solutions across various teams such as Engineering, SRE, SecOps, and Quality Engineering.
  • Create scalable cloud-native solutions leveraging automation and open-source tooling wherever possible.
  • Help build/maintain our cloud delivery platform including source control, CI (Continuous Integration), CD (Continuous Delivery), and various cloud providers to empower our engineers across the organization to be successful
  • We practice what we preach; we follow the same model as our engineers to deploy/monitor their own changes
  • Architect and share knowledge on building first in class cloud native solutions
  • Evolve the platform by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity

Qualifications:

  • Effective communication skills: verbal and written
  • Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with major cloud provider(s) (GCP/AWS preferred)
  • Experience maintaining and using CI systems such as Jenkins and Gitlab CI
  • Comfortable using source control management such as git
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Python, Golang, .NET 5.x, Java

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Pulumi
  • Experienced with leading-edge delivery tools/practices such as Spinnaker and ArgoCD
  • Passion and deep understanding of immutable infrastructure
  • Understanding of container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, helm3
  • Understanding of metrics and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki
  • Experience building/using open-source tooling/solutions; we love Open Source.

This role is one of several for an expanding team that reshapes both what and how we build things at Team TAG - The Aspen Group!
