PA to Head Teacher

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced PA to join a Good all-through school in Barking and Dagenham ASAP.

The Head Teacher together with her successful Senior Leadership Team work hard to ensure that all students experience a high-quality, rigorous education. The school are currently looking to recruit an experience PA to support the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team where required. PA to Head Teacher

This successful school are looking to recruit an experienced PA to support the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team where required. The role is to start immediately and will be offered on a temp - perm basis. Experience of working in a school setting is desirable. The successful applicant must be organised, flexible and computer literate.

Job Responsibilities:

To act as Personal Assistant to the Principal
To lead and manage the school office ensuring effective and efficient administrative function
Undertake a range of day-to-day administrative functions and manage enquiries efficiently
Managing the office team and resources to ensure that they are effectively supporting the school, including line management and supervision of administrative staff
To be responsible for confidential secretarial, administration and clerical duties relating to all aspects of the Principal's work including management of diary, correspondence, records, databases for whole school events, exclusions, and personnel work
To liaise with the Principal and Governing Body in arranging Governors meetings, Disciplinary Panels, re-integration meetings and any other meetings as required
To ensure the Principal is briefed for all meetings with relevant correspondence, documents/presentations and in the Principal's absence refer matters to relevant member of the Senior Leadership Team for action
To take minutes at meetings, as required
To perform any other duties appropriate to the level of the post and required by the Principal
To carry out a range of administrative tasks as required for the smooth running of the school
To cover administrative duties within the team in case of absence
To manage enquiries and complaints that have been raised with the reception staff and pass on to relevant staff as appropriate
Line manage office staff through strong leadership, ensuring that all functions are performed appropriately, and that excellent customer service is always maintained
Set objectives for office staff where appropriate, monitor performance and complete annual performance reviews as requested
Direct staff appropriately to ensure fair workload is distributed and carried out to high standard.To be considered for this PA to Head Teacher position, you must have prior experience of working in this role.
