Our client a leading Government body is seeking to recruit a Lead Sharepoint Online platform Engineer.
Management of the SharePoint Online platform and team members, consulting on projects requests via CCoE front door, assisting projects in development, pre and prod release stages, monitoring and review of 365 roadmap and changes coming down the line, informing explaining and demonstrating new functionalities coming to the platform, providing advice and guidance to help shape services and assist business transformation, escalation point for platform issues from the team, assisting the team with tickets and issues and giving them the tools to resolve and learn, general management of team and workload, advise on capacity for new work to be taken on by the team, assist in P1 and P2 issues and escalations ,providing sanity check and assurance on any suggested tasks that need to run at platform level or with SPO platform permissions,
Review solution designs to ensure these meet business standards and best practices, monitor my IT queues and ensure team are picking up and processing tickets swiftly and efficiently ,review CHG requests and ensure full understanding of impact to platform before approving, asking questions if this is not clear, working very closely with Business Support Team Manager and leads to assist with general queries and problems they are encountering on the platform, closely monitoring all project work being carried out by the team, enabling the team to be as efficient and productive as possible including removing blockers, escalating and supporting team members as needed.
To be the point of contact with Microsoft to ensure the business are getting the most out the platform and also to get assistance and advice on issues on the platform or queries on how to achieve things that are not clear or known, collaborating with MSP team leads to improve ticket assignment, keep them updated on platform changes and nurture an open and supportive relationship with supplier, be a point of assistance for our MSP when needed for ticket investigations, 24/7 platform cover on a rota basis, assisting an downing escalations for platform issues, work delegation between the team, weekly reporting for the team.
