Lead Engineer

Up to £60,000 base salary, £20,000 worth of shares and 30% annual bonus

Fully remote working

I'm working with an exciting start-up venture with significant financial backing and ambitious plans to grow. They are looking for their 1st technical hire to join the company and help them build a new SAAS platform. They are specialists in outsourced customer services and have plans for a unique technology platform to enable them to become market leaders in the industry. With Online shopping growing to over £1 billion per annum in the UK in 2020 they have ambitious plans to become the main outsourced customer service provider across online retail in the UK.

This is a truly unique opportunity to work with not only a start-up but a start-up with incredible financial backing from investors with a wealth of experience in the market. As one of the first people in the business you will have a significant opportunity to have your input and say in how the product is designed and built. This role would suit a strong senior developer/engineer with ambitions to push on in their career and build a product they can be truly proud off.

Key Skills

  • Sounds knowledge and understanding of PHP (OOP programming)
  • Capability with MySQL databases
  • Front End programming with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience with Redis
  • Comfortable leading the design and development of a new product from scratch
  • Able to work in a small company or start-up environment

The company plans to grow over the next 5 years from their current valuation of £1,000,000 to £50 million by expanding their current services through to their new SAAS platform. This will enable them to take on significantly more customers and through their market contacts establish a much larger market share.
