Location: London (Kings Cross)
Salary: £23,000 -28,000 + Benefits

You MUST have experience of the technologies listed and have worked in an IT Helpdesk function (ideally for an MSP) previously to be considered for this role.

Working for a small but successful IT Support Services organisation (Managed Service Provider) based in London. We are looking for an experienced 1st Line Helpdesk Technician with outstanding customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, who can act as the 'face of IT" to external customers. We are a growing organisation and can provide the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of users and issues with which to expand the candidates knowledge.

The position will be responsible for:

  • Receiving, prioritising, documenting and actively resolving requests from clients in a timely manner
  • Talking to clients on the telephone working in a busy environment and some site visits to customer offices
  • Occasional troubleshooting of clients IT infrastructure including Servers, Switches, storage, security, software applications, external hosting, remote offices and backups
  • Occasional Infrastructure and migration project work for customers

Technical knowledge/experience:

  • Experience in IT Support
  • Windows 10
  • Office365 to advanced level
  • Windows Server 2012/2016 (advantageous) administration and maintenance
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange mailbox administration, DNS, group policies, domain controllers.
  • Knowledge of Routers, Firewalls, Switches, VPN devices and wireless and other networking technologies.
  • Good understanding of backup and restoration methods
  • Good understanding of NTFS and share permissions on previous and current Windows Server environments
