You will be fully competent in all areas of the kitchen, working to high standards in both food service and in creating and costing new dishes to achieve GP results. You will be responsible for leading your team whilst managing the daily operations of the kitchen. A hands-on leader and team player.
An excellent communicator preferably with experience as a Head Chef at a successful Gastro pub, boutique hotel or similar venue.
Strong financial awareness and cost controls are essential and a proven track record of kitchen performance management and motivation of your team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and inspire your team, supporting, coaching and the training of our Chefs
Maintain standards and quality of food
Stock check and control
Careful ordering to maintain GP’s
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen
Supervising and running of the kitchen- taking a hands-on approach to the preparation and cooking of the food
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, you will be expected to implement our existing health and hygiene procedures
Designing and costing of new menu's including seasonal
Maintaining the highest level of food quality and ensuring company specifications are adhered to
To ensure that food preparation and quality is of the highest standard possible within the limits of budgeted profit targets with a view to maximising sales to guests and ensuring staff welfare
To ensure that due diligence documentation, rotas and other working papers are efficiently completed within company guidelines
Fully aware of all requirements of health and safety in the kitchen
To put ideas forward and ensure a high standard across all food sectors within the kitchen
Able to operate all sections of the kitchen
