Job Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Webster, NY
Shift & Pay:
- Shift: 2nd Shift: 3:15 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday - Friday
- (Selected candidate will train on 1st Shift or a Split Shift for 1 week)
- Pay Rate: $18 - $20 Per Hour (Plus 10% Shift Differential For 2nd Shift)
Summary: We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator for a temp-to-perm position. In this role, your expertise in material handling and logistics will be essential to maintaining seamless production operations. You'll be responsible for safely transporting materials, optimizing inventory flow, and ensuring a well-organized workspace. Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling & Inventory Management:
- Transport materials efficiently according to production schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies.
- Keep production areas stocked with necessary materials.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.
- Ensure compliance with operational and legal regulations.
- Forklift Operation & Maintenance:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any issues.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Accurately log material movements and inventory changes.
- Maintain detailed records to ensure smooth workflow and traceability.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and compliance regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor forklift issues.
- Dependability, teamwork, and initiative to support production operations.
