We are working with an award-winning City law firm who are looking for an experienced Events Manager to join their team on a 12-month contract basis.

This Events Manager role will manage the events and corporate hospitality process from briefing through to delivery as well as overseeing the work for junior members of the events team. The role will be reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer, working closely with the wider BD & Marketing team who are extremely well regarded within the business, to ensure that all client and external facing events are delivered to the highest standard.

  • Manage the Events tracking guide and provide reporting information
  • Manage and report on budgets for all events and assist in the event budget forecast
  • Oversee the firm-wide Events Calenda, sending regular communication to key stakeholders
  • Advise on departmental away days: including supporting initial proposals, managing supplier relationships and providing guides for support teams to facilitate away days successfully
  • Create email invitations, compile invitation lists, manage event registrations, create name badges and attendee lists for client events
  • Initiate relevant event campaigns using InterAction and Vuture
  • Provide on-site assistance at client events alongside the wider team
  • Complete a thorough post-event evaluation, including collating feedback, running debrief meetings with key stakeholders, follow up with all relevant suppliers, creating event summaries/stories for the firm hub and produce a detailed debrief document
  • Assist with the production of event materials
  • Research external venues and hospitality providers to provide new and interesting options for client events. Oversee the maintenance of the events portfolio, preferred suppliers list, venue guides

The successful candidate will need:

  • At least 6 years' experience of working in an events role, ideally in a professional services environment
  • The ability to meet multiple deadlines and perform well under pressure
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Project management and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of managing junior team members
  • Good copywriting and proofing skills
  • Fantastic communication skills, able to build relationships at all levels
  • Experience of MS Office, Vuture and InterAction
