Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary English Lecturer to work in the London Borough of Brent. This position is initially for a period of 9 months and is paying £28.42 per hour (paid to you via an umbrella company).
To plan, teach and evaluate courses and to deliver high quality and inclusive learning opportunities.
To support curriculum management on curriculum and course development.
To fully participate in the quality assurance and improvement processes and procedures.
To support the achievement of annual targets for achievement rates.
To teach adults effectively for an agreed scheduled timetable of class contact hours across all delivery sites.
To interview and provide initial assessment and guidance to students.
To monitor, evaluate and assess individual student progress and achievement.
To develop and lead courses under the supervision of the line manager.
To contribute to the service's quality initiatives including self-assessment, observation, appraisal and the mentoring and support of part-time tutors.
To contribute in cross-service team initiatives.
To produce course documentation: schemes of work, lesson plans, tracking of individual learner progress, and route to work plans.
To teach programmes appropriate to the needs, aspirations and levels of competence of learners.
To prepare up to date high quality teaching materials relevant to the needs of adults.
To carry out student assessment, internal verification as required and adhere to quality frameworks, EIF IV, External verification requirements .
To monitor students' attendance and progress, maintain records, and prepare reports.
Qualifications: Ideally you are a fully qualified teacher with either a PGCE or a Cert Ed as a minimum.
Experience: Experience of teaching reformed Functional Skills to adults from Entry Level to Level 2 in a variety of teaching and learning/training environments.
Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS and references covering the past 5 years.
Hours: 36 hours p/w.
