Job Description

The Position

The retail staffing coordinator is responsible for executing the hourly talent acquisition process for Home Depot, ensuring the company hires a diverse, high performing workforce.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with retail staffing specialist to ensure that all aspects of the hourly recruitment process are followed in relation to telephone screening, follow-up communication and driving a positive candidate experience
  • Actively engage candidates during phone interviews to identify relevant skills and strong customer service skills
  • Presents high quality, qualified candidates to store leaders in a high volume staffing environment
  • Ensure all staffing activities are compliant with the recruiting, and selection procedures, including maintaining appropriate recordkeeping
  • Maintain Applicant Tracking System (Kenexa)
  • Ensure consistency and compliance with applicable legislation and company policies
Experience / Knowledge Required:
  • Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+, Meets expectation, Consistently demonstrates).
  • Post secondary education in Human Resources or a related field; or a combination of related experience and education
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Previous experience with Applicant Tracking Systems an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience working in a high volume recruitment or customer service/retail environment
